Edward O'Brien Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Edward O'Brien of Linden, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 26, 2024 at the age of 96. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter O'Brien and Theresa O'Brien (Lombardo); his wife Caroline O'Brien (Barcay); and his siblings, Anthony, Walter, John, Thomas O'Brien, Anna Kelly, Dorothy Sohler and Theresa Kosser.

He is survived by: his children, Patricia Gray (Bradley), Judy Szewczyk (Gary) and Edward O'Brien, Jr.; his grandchildren, Sarah Badillo (Kenneth), Becky Szewczyk, Jake O'Brien and Holly O'Brien; his great grandchild Abby Badillo; his sister Margaret Raffa (Joseph); and his sister-in-law Marie O'Brien. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, October 29th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Werson Funeral Home (635 N Wood Ave, Linden, NJ 07036). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, October 30th 2024 at 9:15 AM at the same location.
