He was predeceased by: his parents, John O'Brien and Margaret O'Brien (Riley); his siblings, Gerard O'Brien, Nancy Dooley, Sharon McNulty and Arlene Quirk; and his siblings-in-law, Richard Barrett, Donald Myers Sr., Joseph McNulty Sr., Robert Dooley Sr., Susan Myers and Barbara O'Brien.
He is survived by: his children, Dennis M. O'Brien (Chandra) of Manahawkin, Kelli (Leon) of Lincroft and Keith P. O'Brien of Bayonne; his brother John "Jack" O'Brien (Mary); his brothers-in-law, Walter G. Barrett Jr. (Lourdes) of Bayonne and Daniel Quirk; and his grandchildren, Olivia, Mackenzie, Alec, Austin, Zachary, Kellen, Shae, Parker and Ava. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Visitation was held on Monday, February 10th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the John E. Day Funeral Home (85 Riverside Ave, Red Bank, NJ 07701). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 at 10:15 AM at the St. Leo the Great RC Church (50 Hurleys Ln, Lincroft, NJ 07735). An entombment was held on Tuesday, February 11th 2025 from 11:30 AM to 12:00 PM at the Holmdel Cemetery (900 Holmdel Rd, Holmdel, NJ 07733).
