He was predeceased by: his mother Donalyn. He is survived by: his father Thomas; his brother Scott (Julia); his sons, Thomas, Padraig and Daniel; and his nieces and nephews, Isabella, Angeline, Delia, Liam and Paul Riley.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be sent to The Old Breed Rugby Club in Paul's name for a college scholarship fund for his sons.
