He was predeceased by: his sons, Matthew, Jeremy and Nicholas Banta. He is survived by: his wife Audrey; and his children, Christopher McSherry (Rachael Erkolino), Jonathan Banta (Sarah Handler), Noah Banta, Kathleen Friedmann (James), Allison Thompson (Tyler) and April Roberts (Sean). He is also survived by 14 grandchildren.
