It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Cecilia V. Saari of Lawrenceville, New Jersey, born in Louisville, Kentucky, who passed away on November 25, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her siblings, Hubert Vogelsang, Eunice, Pearl Vogelsang (John) and Saari; and her nephew Matthew P. Pond.
She is survived by: her sister Juanita Vogelsang Jones; her daughters, Gena, Lise and Carol; and her husband Jack Saari. She is also survived by four grandchildren and nine nieces and nephews.
Gertrude was a nurse that tended to returnees from WWI and patients sick with the 1918 pandemic flu.
