He is survived by: his wife Sheila Gawel (Gallagher) of Lavallette; his children, Nanci Lopes, Chris Lopes of Ocean, NJ, Susan Gasior, Todd Gasior of Skillman, NJ, Bob Gawel, Julia Gawel of La Jolla, CA, Kerry Penque, Rick Penque of Summit, NJ, Kathleen Kurth and Christopher Kurth of Wall, NJ.; his grandchildren, Brian, Kristen, Michael Lopes, Gillian Gasior, Hayden, Finn Gawel, Kathryn, Grace, Brynn Penque, Colin, Brady and Reese Kurth; and his sisters-in-law, Barbara Gawel and Betty Griffin. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
