“To my dear Grandmother, you have given me a lifetime of fond memories, some of which were numerous card games around the kitchen table, home remedies and dandelion wine. While we were separated by miles later in life, you were never far from my heart. My heart aches with your passing, but is comforted by the fact that you are not alone, knowing that you are in a better place and that we will be together again someday. I am greatful that my children, your great grandchildren were blessed with time together with you. My sympathies remain for the loss my grandfather, my mother and my aunts and uncles now feel and the time we are all separated from one another. You were such a gentle and kind soul in life and I will miss you the rest of mine.”
