He is survived by: his wife Marianne; his daughter Kelly Derflinger (Dan Kannheiser); his granddaughter Ashlee Derflinger; and his sisters-in-law, Fran McDermott, Sharon Padula (Lenny) and Joan Koelmel (Gordon). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews.
