He is survived by: his wife Mary; his children, Karen Coyle (Pat), Susan Larnerd (Mitch), Laurie Alioto (Chris) and Alan Tappen, Jr. (Alyssa); his grandchildren, Colin, Julie, Kaitlyn Coyle, Alexandria, Jacob Larnerd, Olivia, Emilia Alioto and Charles Tappen; his brothers, John Tappen, Jr. (Carol) and Glenn Tappen (Anne); and his nieces and nephews, John, Holly, Jennifer and Christopher.
