He was predeceased by: his parents, Anthony Joseph Tumler and Violet Johnson; and his son Robert "Bobby" Tumler. He is survived by: his wife Veronica Tumler (Roni); his children, Lisa Schell (Harry) and Brian Tumler (Barbara); his grandchildren, Rebecca Violante (Mike), Megan Bowers (Tyler), Melissa Andress (Ryan), Brooke Tumler and Briana Tumler; his great grandchildren, Henry, Harry Violante, Jake and Joelle Bowers; and his sister Kim Anderson (Dean).
