He was predeceased by: his father James; his son Sylvester E. Goodwin; and his brother James E. Cooper, Jr.. He is survived by: his children, Tyron Allen of Millville, NJ, Brandyn Smith of Baltimore, MD and Isheena R. Goodwin of Bridgeton; his mother Joan Cooper Cottingham; and his siblings, Frank E. Cooper, Leonard Cooper, Roberta B. Cooper, Frances C. Williams (Sandy) and Romona R. Cooper. He is also survived by 3 grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.
