He was predeceased by: his father Nicholas Amato; and his brother Michael Amato. He is survived by: his wife Barbara; his children, Deirdre, Nicholas, Douglas and Lauren; his granddaughter Anna Lucia; and his aunt Barbara Micone of Edgewater, MD..

In lieu of flowers please make donations in Nicholas's memory to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital.
