She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert B. and Mary F. Barlow; and her brother Robert B. Barlow Jr.. She is survived by: her spouse Robert "Bullet" Lawson; her child Robert I. Ballou, III; her wife Sherri of Saunderstown, RI; her grandchildren, Jennifer, Scott, Jr. and Kayla Farkas; her brother James B. Barlow (Adele) of Neptune; her stepchildren, Robert Lawson, Wes Lawson and Shawn Lawson; and also, Thomas B. Ballou (Nancy) of Oakland Park, FL and Mary Lynn Farkas (Scott) of Manasquan.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the International Swimming Hall of Fame in Fort Lauderdale, FL.
