He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Winnie Slifer and Max Slifer of Newark; his wife Joan "Audrey" Lettiere; and his children, Patty Raneri (Peter), Jeff (Lynn) of Ponte Verde, FL, John (Deborah), Rob (Michael Mueller) and James (Kim). He was also cherished by 13 grandchildren and 4 great-grandsons.
