Brown; her husband Armand Shockley; her sons, Kenneth Brown and Melvin Brown; her father Reverend John Alexander George; and her siblings, Booker George, John Edward George (Eddie), Arthur George, Harold George, Robert George, Jessie George, Edna Cawthorne, Carol Sutton, Naomi Barnes, Dorse Bolson and Ruth Douglas.
She is survived by: her children, Millicent Brown, Florine Wilson-Lambe (Eugene) and John Brown; her daughter-in-law Shirley Brown; her sister Joyce King (Robert); and her grandchildren, Estelle Anntoinette Smith (James), Melissa Reeves, Melinda Brown-Imhotep (Abdul), John Brown (Ivy), Melvin Brown Jr., Cecilia Taylor (Jonathan), Merinda Bonaparte, Gena Lambe and Michael Brown. She is also survived by many great-great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends.
