He was predeceased by: his mother Gloria Hernandez. He is survived by: his father Lino Mendez; his wife Evelyn Ruiz; his children, Eddie N. Mendez, Jr., Diana Mendez and Michael Mendez; and his siblings, Freddie Mendez, Alex Mendez, Jackie Ramirez, David Mendez, Joel Mendez, Jeffery Mendez, Eric Mendez and Matthew Mendez. He is also survived by his 10 grandchildren, and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
