He was predeceased by: his parents, George Barnes and Maisie Barnes; his wife Annette Barnes; his children, George E. Barnes of Lake Hiawatha and Nicolle Barnes Losonczy of Lake Hiawatha; his sister Gladys Walsh of Kentucky; and his grandchildren, Paul N. Litwa, Andrew Losonczy and Rebecca Losonczy-Dwyer.

He is survived by: his friend Pepper.
