We bid farewell to Catherine A. Bast (Lafayette, New Jersey), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on March 27, 2025 at the age of 91. Catherine touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. In the vast expanse of eternity, Catherine shall find rest, cradled in the arms of everlasting peace. And as we bid Catherine farewell, her loved ones carry with them the precious gift of her memory, a beacon of hope guiding them through the shadows of sorrow towards the light of a new dawn.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Peter and Jesse Dykstra; her husband Henry; her son Paul Bast; and her sister Harriet Fritzsch.
She is survived by: her children, Peter Bast (Rena) of Wantage, David Bast (Kirstin) of Middletown and Joy Tallamy (Duce) of Wantage; and her daughter-in-law Demi Bast of Spencer. She is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and twenty-nine great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 at 1:30 PM at the Reformed Baptist Church of Lafayette (28 Meadows Rd, Lafayette Township, NJ 07848).
