With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lois Chismar of Keyport, New Jersey, born in Bayonne, New Jersey, who passed away on September 13, 2024 at the age of 78. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Louis Amato and Mildred; her husband Martin Chismar; and her siblings, Patrick Amato and Edith Schiller.
She is survived by: her children, Juliann, Martin and Melissa Chismar; her brother Louis Amato (Carol); and her sister-in-law Frances Amato. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and countless friends.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 18th 2024 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Union Funeral Home - Lytwyn & (1600 Stuyvesant Ave, Union, NJ 07083). A funeral Mass was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM at the Holy Rosary Church (344 6th St, Jersey City, NJ 07302). A burial was held on Thursday, September 19th 2024 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the Holy Name Cemetery (823 West Side Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306).
