He was predeceased by: his parents, Matthew Kemp and Nettie Kemp (Redd); his wife Dolores Kemp (Finley); his children, George Donald Kemp Jr., Vernon Kemp, Brian Kemp and Sheila Hutchinson (Kemp); and his siblings, Matthew Kemp, John Kemp and Jean Preston (Kemp).
He is survived by: his children, Yvonne Gatling (Murry), Douglas Kemp (Denyse), Kim Figueroa (Kemp), Larry Kemp (Wanda) and John Kemp (Mayra); his granddaughter Miesha Jelks (Kemp); his son-in-law Claude Hutchinson; his daughter Donna Yetmen; his siblings-in-law, Janet Wilson, Emma Yelverton, Jacqueline Waller, Gwendolyn Alexander and Melvin Finley; and his cousins, Geraldine Kee and William Johnson (Billy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, friends.
