He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Burns and Dorothy Burns; his brother Patrick Burns; his children, Jennifer D'Elia (Brandon), Timothy Burns and Kristen Maher (Creg); and his grandchildren, Derek Maher, Gabby Maher, Chase Samsel and Cameron Avena-D'Elia.
