She was predeceased by: her siblings, Flavian Vala, Rose Verile, Joseph Vala, Anna Marshall and Sam Vala.

She is survived by: her sisters, Martha Hiles and Naomi Callaghan of Kearny. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.

In lieu of flowers contributions in Ruth's name may be made to the Human Society.
