Margaret Paterson Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Margaret Paterson of Lake Hiawatha, New Jersey, who passed away on March 6, 2024 at the age of 86.
She was born on August 31, 1937 in Kearny, NJ, the eldest of 10 siblings. She was a resident of Kearny and North Arlington before coming to the Lake Hiawatha section of Parsippany over 50 years ago.
Miss Paterson earned her Bachelors and Masters Degrees in Education from Seton Hall University. She dedicated many years to being an educator at Kearny High School before transitioning to a child study team member, ultimately retiring in 1994.
Following her retirement, Margaret found joy in creating floral arrangements, engaging in various crafts and tending her garden.
She was predeceased by : her parents, Sarah and Robert Paterson; and her sisters, Sheila and Clare Paterson, and ger niece Mary Coulombe. She is survived by : her siblings, Mary Paterson, Robert Paterson (Betsy), John J. Paterson, James Paterson (Ronnie Lynn), Thomas Paterson, Bernadette Coulombe and Regina Cirrincione. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews; and one great-great niece.
