He was predeceased by: his wife Emily (Perry); and his sons, John and George. He is survived by: his son Kenneth (Anne Bishop); his daughter-in-law Susan (Pontus); his sister Norma Chestnut (Richard); his grandchildren, John, Jr, Katie and David (Mfoniso); and his great grandchild David "Junior". He is also survived by nieces, nephews and cousins.
