He was predeceased by: his son John P. McLaughlin Jr.; and his sister Elizabeth Wallis. He is survived by: his daughter Tara Brennan (Ted Brennan); the mother of his children Ann Russell; his grandchildren, Shane, Cole, Lucas and Cora; his brother-in-law Edward Wallis; and his niece Kelly Eveland.
