Christopher Smith Obituary
Mr. Christopher M. Smith passed away suddenly on June 23, 2019 in the Kearny home of his parents. A memorial visitation will be held in the Condon Funeral Home 684 Kearny Ave., Kearny (condonfuneralhome.com) on Friday, June28 from 2-4 pm. Chris had served in the US Coast Guard for 21 years until retiring in 2016. In his travels with the Coast Guard, Chris visited Alaska and Japan.
He resided in California, Puerto Rico and Hawaii where he enjoyed the sea and his true passion in life, surfing. He was predeceased by his grandparents Adeline Manley and Margaret and Albert Smith. Surviving are his parents, Michele (nee Manley) and James Smith; his brother James R. Smith (Adrienne) and his grandfather, James Manley.
He also leaves behind his cherished niece and nephew Sage and Zach Smith as well as his many loving aunts, uncles and cousins. It is the families wish that in lieu of flowers you consider a donation to the Salvation Army 443 Chestnut St, Kearny, NJ 07032. Envelopes will be available in the funeral home. At the families request please dress casually if attending Chris' memorial.
