He is survived by: his sons, Simon Chavez and James Chavez; his siblings, Ana Lucia Chavez and Eduardo Chavez Falconi; and his grandchildren, Karen Cueva, Richard Chavez, Krystle Galarza, Santiago Chavez, James Chavez, Nicolas Chavez and Camila Chavez. He is also survived by many great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
