He was loved and cherished by many people including: his pets, Ace and Lucy; his wife Maureen Vanderweerd; his daughter Patricia Burdick; his son-in-law George Burdick of Middletown; his sons, Robert (Glenn Pittius) and James Shields of Hazlet; and his grandchildren, Samantha, Thomas Carson, Amanda, Ashley, Bobbie, Lil George, Presley, Payton, Glenn, Jr., Jacqueline, Madeline, Patty Cobb Cottrell, Shawn, Jodie Roser, John, Madelaine Beyer, Gail, Patricia and Peter Szeles. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews, his company family and his friends.
