He was predeceased by: his parents, William Knabe and Violet Knabe Sr.; and his sister Patricia Hyland. He is survived by: his wife Joy A. Knabe; his children, Jesse Knabe, William E. Knabe Sr., Kim Cygan (Lance) and Kelly Ryan; his siblings, Paul Hyland and Lynn Orchard (Charles); his grandsons, William E. Knabe Jr., Ben Cygan, Danny Cygan, Brandon Knabe and Christopher Ryan; his pet Vicky; and his friend George Hynes.
