He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Hegarty and Mary Hegarty (Murrin); and his brother-in-law Stuart Costello. He is survived by: his wife Eileen Hegarty (Johannessen); his children, Dylan Hegarty, Hayley Hegarty and Owen Hegarty; and his siblings, Catherine Costello, Nuala Mann (Steven) and Tony Hegarty. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
