Padma Somar Obituary

With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Padma Somar of Jersey City, New Jersey, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 3, 2025 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

Though Padma may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Padma touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM at the Riotto Funeral Home & Cremation (3205 John F. Kennedy Blvd, Jersey City, NJ 07306). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 from 9:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 12:45 PM at the Gate of Heaven Cemetery (225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936).
