Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Joan touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her mother Anna Bryer Brennen; and her child Grayce Rhoades. She is survived by: her sons, Ed Begley Jr. and Sean; her daughter-in-law Kathy (Furry); her grandson Seamus of Old Bridge; and her goddaughter Kim Padula of Nashville, TN.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the St. Aedan's Church (800 Bergen Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306). A funeral Mass was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Tuesday, February 18th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the Holy Name Cemetery (823 West Side Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306).
In lieu of flowers, charitable donations can be made to the family to help cover the cost of funeral services.
