We are sad to announce that on October 31, 2024, at the age of 92, Basmattee Singh (Jersey City, New Jersey) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Bishun "Saywack" Singh; her children, Rudy, Vijay and Sybil; her brother Ramesh; and her grandson Shawn.
She is survived by: her daughters, Geeta (Ali) and Vidya (Rajen); her sisters, Dolly, Enid, Doodie and Carmen; her grandchildren, Sharon (Bob), Shavonna, Rehannah (Clive), Rabia (Vishal), Ayesha (Daniel), Aarti (Ahmad), Binti, Amanda (Amit), Joanna (Andy), Shelly and Suren; and her great grandchildren, Alec, Junior, Alina, Khalid, Tariq, Miriam, Adam, Ava and Ashaan.
Visitation was held on Friday, November 1st 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM and on Saturday, November 2nd 2024 from 6:00 PM to 10:00 PM at the Evergreen Funeral Home (159 Garrison Ave, Jersey City, NJ 07306). A funeral service was held on Sunday, November 3rd 2024 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the Hindu Funeral Service.
