“I'm so sad to hear about Mrs Koontz's passing. She taught me from grades 2-5. I'm 25 now, and still remember her singing to us with puppets, making hot chocolate with us, and teaching us about the cultural significance of the poinsettia flower. I was a wrestless kid who couldn't stand to sit still for a full school day, but even now I can remember truly enjoying her class. She was a shining example of a teacher that really knew how to create a positive and inspiring atmosphere for kids.”
