She was predeceased by: her parents, Ada Mount Tantum and William Tantum; her husband Kenneth B. Smith; and her sister Edith Alton. She is survived by: her daughter Ruth Ellen Ruddick (Lease) of Princeton; her grandchildren, Brad Ruddick of Ft. Worth, TX and Amy (Joseph) of Pensacola, FL.; and her brother Stanley Tantum (Patricia) of Princeton.
