He was predeceased by: his wife Jean Van Dyke (Krupa). He is survived by: his children, Susan, Stephen Gasser of Jackson, NJ, Janett Van Dyke of Jackson, NJ, Jason Van Dyke and Donald Mensch of Pennsburg, PA.; and his grandchildren, Anthony, Rachel, Michelle, Olivia, Donald and John.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to any military organization in Donald's name.
