He was predeceased by: his wife Gloria (Sorrentino); his parents, William and Katherine (Kehoe); and his siblings, William, Michael, John, Ann Holle, Rita Evans, Jerry, Maureen and Bernadette.

He is survived by: his children, Carole Wastog (Anthony), Joan Vafiadis (Costas) and Dan Flaherty (Mary); his grandchildren, Jessica Metzger and David Vafiadis; and his brothers, Edward and Daniel. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, in-laws, extended family, and friends.

When I moved to the East coast your grandmother Katherine, Daniel and Dave rode along with me. Your Father was going out to marry your mother. Grandma and Dan went out for the wedding but visited Washington DC before the wedding. It was so nice to have someone ride with me while I was moving into a new adventure in Maryland.
