She was predeceased by: her children, Robert Mashburn and Joyce Robinette Selk. She is survived by: her husband Herbert Messer; and her sons, Jeff Messer (Theresa) of Jackson, NJ and Herbert Messer III (Allison) of Jackson, NJ. She is also survived by seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
