Elio Vecchiarelli Obituary
We are sad to announce that on January 12, 2025, Elio Vecchiarelli of Jackson Township, New Jersey passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his siblings, Msgr and Paola DiOrio; and his cousin Umberto Vecchiarelli. He is survived by: his wife Lucy Vecchiarelli; his children, Elio Vecchiarelli (Suzanne McGarry-Moore) and Deanna McMerty (Joe); his grandchildren, Joseph McMerty, Matthew Vecchiarelli, Nina McMerty, Tristan McMerty, Jessie Vecchiarelli and Gia McMerty; and his cousin Elisa Vecchiarelli.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 from 9:00 AM to 10:15 AM at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home (100 Elton-Adelphia Rd, Freehold Township, NJ 07728). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 10:30 AM at the Co-Cathedral (61 Georgia Rd, Freehold Township, NJ 07728). An entombment was held on Friday, January 17th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Rose of Lima Catholic Cemetery (299 Freehold-Englishtown Rd, Freehold, NJ 07728).
