He was predeceased by: his wife Maria "Jozsa" Takacs of Sarospatok; and his siblings, Andras, Janos, Tibor, Ferencz, Magda, Margit and Roza.
He is survived by: his sons, Louis M. Takacs (Lauren) of Bridgewater, NJ and Ted Takacs (Margy) of Raleigh, NC; his siblings, Karoly, Boske and Joli; and his grandchildren, Danielle, Michael, Sampras, Graelyn, Ronan and Jaspar. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
