He was predeceased by: his parents, Joao Velozo and Hermina Velozo; and his brother-in-law Al Fernandes. He is survived by: his wife Gladys Velozo; his children, John Velozo (Jennifer) of Hamilton and Vanessa Tuohy (Patrick) of Westfield; his siblings, Gloria Fernandes and Albert Velozo (Sophie) of Linden; and his grandchildren, Astrid, Annalise, Emerson, Aaron and Patrick Jr..
