It is with great sadness that we announce the death of John J. Welfel of Iselin, New Jersey, born in Paramus, New Jersey, who passed away on January 27, 2021, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Elizabeth Welfel and John Welfel; and his siblings, Lorretta Dunn, Frank, Peter and William Welfel.

He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Unger Welfel; and his children, John Welfel (Tara) and Debbie Lynch (John). He is also survived by four grandchildren; and five great grandchildren.
