It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William J. Smith of Irvington, New Jersey, born in Newark, New Jersey, who passed away on October 4, 2022, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his former wife Barbara Smith; his wife Virginia Smith; his parents, William J. Smith and Nora Smith; and his sisters, Elizabeth Kelly and Joan Smith.
He is survived by: his children, William M. Smith (Lynn) and Patricia A. Carnes (Todd); and his grandchildren, Steven Smith and Melissa Smith. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
