She was predeceased by: her parents, Arlene and Darcy P. Griggs, Jr.; and her significant other Lawrence Jerome Stokes. She is survived by: her children, Hasan Rashim and Salwa Hanaa; her grandsons, Jaiden and Hasan Jr.; her brother Ray Griggs (Donna); her nephews, Jerod and Jermaine Jefferson; her great-nephews, Mason Stokes, Caleb and Bryson Jefferson; her siblings-in-law, Gene (Denise), Carl Stokes and Wanda Stokes; her niece Danhya; her goddaughter Sanai Lunsford; and her friends, Priscilla Roberts and Shirley Lunsford. She is also survived by her children, grandchildren and other family members.
