She was predeceased by: her husband Stanley C. Young of Oklahoma City; her brothers, Wallace and Robert VanNess; and her nephew Thomas VanNess. She is survived by: her children, Ralph (Suzanne) of Maryland, Randi of Randolph and Amy (William DiBartolo) of East Hanover; her grandchildren, Christopher of Maryland, Terrence of Maryland, Graham Young of Maryland, Adam Young of Bloomfield, William DiBartolo Jr. of Bridgewater, Amanda DiBartolo Tedeschi of Gladstone, Jess, Cori, Diane, Chrissie and Phil; her great grandchildren, Flynn, Elliott, Hollis, Fraser, Laurel, Samantha, Thomas and Emma; and her sister-in-law June Brown of California.
Amalia "Mali" Young died peacefully on April 28, 2020 at the age of 95 in Livingston, NJ, of Covid-19.
