She was predeceased by: her grandparents, Salvatore Purpura and Carol Gerstenacker-Hensel. She is survived by: her mother Tara Gerstenacker; her sister Adrienne Purpura of Howell; her father Nunzio Purpura of Jackson; her grandparents, Wayne Gerstenacker of Howell and Graziella Lentini of Sicily, Italy; and her significant other Matt McPhail of Marlton. She is also survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins; and so many friends.
The family has requested memorial contributions in lieu of flowers made to the Rutgers University Foundation in support of the Rutgers-Camden Women's Soccer Program.
