Salvatore Joseph Cortese Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Salvatore Joseph Cortese of Howell, New Jersey, born in Brooklyn, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on December 5, 2024 at the age of 102. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Josephine Cortese; his siblings, Vita Intanno and Anthony Cortese (Gloria); his nephew Joseph Cortese; his nieces, Lisa and Paula Cortese; and his great-nephew Joseph DeFrancesco.
He is survived by: his nieces, Laura Fox (Timothy) of Howell, Susan O'Neil (Jim) of Wall and Christine DeFrancesco (Frank) of Poway, CA; his great-nieces, Brianne Dos, Arlindo Dos, Deana Fox Romero (Santiago), Kelly O'Neil, Katie O'Neil and Karyn DeFrancesco; his great-nephew Timothy Fox II (Diana); and also, Alessia Dos, Jaxon Dos and Joseph Fox.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home (100 Elton-Adelphia Rd, Freehold Township, NJ 07728). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 9:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 12:30 PM at the St. Charles Cemetery (2015 Wellwood Ave, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
