He was predeceased by: his wife Janet Heitzman; his parents, Henry Heitzman and Charlotte Heitzman; and his siblings, Henry, Harold, Audrey and Dorothy.
He is survived by: his children, Jeannine Romano (Frank) of Howell and Robert Heitzman (Vivian) of Texas; and his grandchildren, Megan Heitzman, Ryan Heitzman and Emily Romano.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, January 7th 2025 at 11:00 AM and from 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home (100 Elton-Adelphia Rd, Freehold Township, NJ 07728). A funeral service was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial was held on Wednesday, January 8th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the Maplewood Cemetery (169 W Main St, Freehold, NJ 07728).
