He is survived by: his friend Sue Malmi; his siblings, Walter Obal (Kathryn) of Monroe, Christine Geene (Matthew) of Gainesville, VA and Joseph Obal (Joan) of Sayreville; his nephews, Walter Obal, Jr. (Louise) of Plainsboro, Tom Obal of Monroe, Anthony Obal (Dawn) of Palm Coast, FL, Kenneth Obal (Brooke Tomczik) of Old Bridge, Garrett Geene, Jr. (Patti) of Gainesville, VA and Brandon Geene (Theresa) of Gainesville, VA; his niece Debbie Bertone (Kevin) of Groveville; and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Jason Bertone, Juliann Bertone (Sam Hitchcock), Garrett Geene, Jr. (Amanda), Christine Geene and Laura Tindal (Kenneth).
