He is survived by: his wife Kathryn "Kitty" Smith; his sister Luba Lukianov (Sergei); his children, Nicolai Afanasenko (Angela) and Natalia Tower (Donald); his grandchildren, Dimitry, Alexandra, Anastasia, Marina and Calina; and his stepchildren, Stacia Smith (Carl), Sunny Smith (Christina), Lyle Smith and Carolyn Hale (Matthew). He is also survived by six step-grandchildren.
